Catering Terms of Service
1.) 48-hours notice is required for orders under $500; if you need to cancel, please call within 24-hours of your delivery time, or the full charge will be applied.

2.) 5-days notice is required for orders over $500; if you need to cancel, please call
within 48-hours of your delivery time, or the full charge will be applied.

3.) A deposit of $500 is due upon confirmation of booking for very large events. Payment of 50% (deposit included) is required 30 days prior to event and the balance is due 48 hours prior to the event. Your $500 deposit will be forfeited for any cancellation within 7 days of event.

4.) ALL changes or cancellations MUST be made directly to a Chef Abod staff member in person or over the phone. Any changes or cancellations made through voice-mail, email, fax, etc, will NOT be accepted.

5.) 15% gratuity is automatically added to every catering order.
​
6.) Due to fluctuations in food prices, all prices are subject to change.
​
7.) Pricing does not include HST.
​
8.) Delivery fees start at $20 within central Halifax, with extra fees per kilometer outside of that range.
​
9.) Payment is expected at, or before, the time of delivery with cash, personal check, or credit card. For large orders, an advanced deposit is required.

10.) Minimum guaranteed attendance must be received within 48-hours of delivery. If attendance falls below this number within 48-hours, the client will be charged for the guaranteed number.

11.) Additional costs are added if you need any cutlery, equipment, or staff.
